OLD TUNES
Amy Pease was Deep Pocket's singer from late 2001 until mid 2003 and she's featured on the first three songs here. All four songs were part of our first demo effort from July 2001.
Rock Me Right, Susan Tedeschi
It's Two AM, Shemekia Copeland
Walking by Myself, Gary Moore
Devil for a Dime, Tinsley Ellis
Julie Moffitt replaced Amy in mid-2003 and stayed with us until February 2004. We recorded these in October of 2003.
Dreamin' about the Day - Joan Osbourne
Keep On Growing - Eric Clapton/Derrick & the Dominos (Also recorded by Sheryl Crow for the Boys on the Side soundtrack)
Wild, Wild Woman - Shemekia Copeland
This was the first home recording project we attempted, since revised and remixed. Over the course of several weeks in late 2002, Ross got everyone to come in and lay down tracks for an original song he and Amy (Deep Pocket's singer from late 2001 to mid 2003) wrote in 2001 and the band had been playing live for some time, “I Guess I’ll Wait.” The entire song was recorded and mixed on a PC for a UCLA Extension class called “Producing Professional Demos.” The instructor for that class, Jeff Lewis of Moonlight Studios, assisted in the remix of the song to its final version here.
I Guess I’ll Wait, Ross Hooper/Amy Pease (Deep Pocket Original)
These tunes were recorded in April of 04 and feature Sally Rime on Vocals, Steve Annan on Lead Guitar.
Bring Me Some Water - Melissa Etheridge
Never Been To Spain - 3 Dog Night
It's 2AM - Shemekia Copeland
